Justin and Jami recently relocated to the North Houston area, from Abilene, Texas, in 2017 to be closer to family and a major airport for Jami's speaking commitments. Hailed as the "Lucille Ball of Christian Blogging," Jami has built a fantastic tribe of women who love Jesus and their children and sometimes, are a "purple hot wreck." Breaking from the typical blogging "mom hiding in her closet," stereotype, Jami shares candid, yet clean, truths about motherhood and her walk as daughter of the Most High.
Her unique sayings, humor, and authentic brokenness drive viral numbers to her blog. She also can be found on Etsy, and Redbubble at Jami Amerine's Studio. Since beginning her blog in 2016 her posts "An Open Letter to My Children: You’re Not that Great," "The Vomit Blog, " and "Dear Christmas Mom" have launched her into millions of readers. Her books included Stolen Jesus: The Unconventional Search for the Real Savior (Harvest House 2017,) Sacred Ground, Sticky Floors: How Less than Perfect Parents can Raise Kind of Great Kids (Harvest House 2018,) Well, Girl: An Inside Out Journey to Freedom (Barbour 2020.) Her fourth book, Rest, Girl: A Journey from Exhausted and Stressed to Entirely Blessed will launch in November of 2021 with Barbour. Jami is also a published multimedia royalty artist with pieces exclusively offered in Home Goods and more nationwide retailers coming soon.
